Range and speed: lab rating vs. real riding

Ausom’s headline numbers come from controlled test conditions. Real range depends on rider weight, speed and terrain.

Measure Conditions Result
Range, lab rating 165 lb rider, single motor, steady 9.3 mph, 68–77°F, flat dry pavement Up to 71 miles (Ausom)
Top speed, preset Race mode, both motors 40 mph (Ausom)

Expect your range to depend on rider weight, speed, hills, temperature and tire pressure. Slower, lighter and flatter rides get closest to the lab figure; faster, heavier and hillier rides get less.

Questions buyers ask

How far will it really go?

Ausom’s 71 miles is a lab rating: 165 lb rider, one motor, a steady 9.3 mph. Ride at full speed with a heavier rider and the real number is much lower. Weight, speed, hills and temperature all matter.

Will I actually reach 40 mph?

The US version’s preset maximum is 40 mph in Race mode with both motors. Real speed varies with load, incline and charge level.

Can it climb hills?

Yes — Ausom rates it for grades up to 36%, with 32 Nm of torque from two motors.

What do Eco, Sport and Race do?

They set the speed: Eco for the longest range, Sport in the middle and Race for full speed with both motors.

Can I ride in the rain?

Ausom says it is not recommended for safety reasons, even though the scooter is rated IP54 and the battery IPX5.

Is it legal where I live?

That depends on your city and state. Ausom states it is for use on private property only and asks buyers to follow local laws. Check your local rules before riding, and wear a helmet.

Does it have an app?

No. Settings such as speed limit, E-ABS level and cruise control are in a hidden menu on the display.
