Watch the food from your phone
The connected probe and built-in smart thermometer send live readings to the Ninja ProConnect app, with notifications on food status and doneness. You can also set the temperature on the control panel.
Smoke with a pellet box
A removable pellet box and an indirect roast-and-smoke rack are in the box. Ninja says wood flavor is added at the touch of a button.
Weather-resistant, per Ninja
A double-walled, heavy-duty lid and porcelain-enameled cast-iron grates. Ninja calls it weather-resistant, says it can be stored outdoors, and recommends covering it with its grill cover (sold separately) when idle.

Questions buyers ask
Do I need an outlet if it runs on propane?
Yes. Ninja describes it as propane combined with electricity. The fan, digital controls and app need 120 V power (670 W).
Can I cook without the app?
Yes. You set the temperature on the digital control panel. The app adds remote monitoring, doneness alerts and temperature changes from your phone.
Which propane tank does it take?
Ninja says to use a standard 20 lb liquid propane tank. A tank is not included.
Is it hard to assemble?
It takes two people to lift the fire box onto the base. Ninja includes a paper guide and links an assembly video and a 3D guide in the BILT app.
Can I really smoke food on it?
Yes. It has a removable pellet box and an indirect roast-and-smoke rack. Ninja says wood flavor is added at the touch of a button. You supply the wood pellets unless your bundle lists them.
Can I leave it outside?
Ninja calls it weather-resistant and says it may be stored outdoors. It recommends covering it with its Premium Grill Cover, sold separately, and closing the gas tank when it is not in use.
