Is it right for you?

A good fit if you…

  • Need a bike that disappears when you are not riding it: a hinge in the frame and another in the stem, plus quick-release pedals and a telescoping seat post, fold it to 37 × 17 × 29 in for an RV, a boat or a hall cupboard.
  • Want the most range from a small-wheel folder: the 750 trim pairs an 840 Wh battery with the bigger motor for up to 85 miles, against 50 miles on the standard 500 W XP4.
  • Carry cargo or a passenger. A 150 lb rear rack is built into the frame, payload is 330 lb, and the rack has bosses for a child seat or the optional LevelUp rack.
  • Want a throttle and 28 mph capability. This is not a pedal-only bike.

Look at something else if you…

  • Have to carry it upstairs daily. It weighs 62 lb without the battery and about 71 lb with it.
  • Want plush suspension. There is a front fork with adjustable preload and lockout, but no rear suspension.
  • Are taller than 6'3" or shorter than 4'10". That is the full rider height range.
  • Want a belt drive or an internally geared hub. This is a chain and a Shimano Altus derailleur with an 11–32T freewheel.

What you get

750 W, 85 Nm, 8 speeds

The Stealth M24 rear hub is rated 750 W nominal, 1,310 W peak and 85 Nm. It drives through a 56T chainring, a Shimano Altus 8-speed derailleur and an 11–32T freewheel with a trigger shifter.

840 Wh, and it slides out for charging indoors

The battery is a 48 V, 17.5 Ah, 840 Wh pack certified to UL 2271; the bike is UL 2849. It unlocks from the side of the down tube with a key, and you can ride without the key in it. An auxiliary charging port near the bottom bracket lets you charge it in the bike.

Hydraulic brakes and a lockout fork

Lectric's 20 × 3.0 in mixed-terrain tires come with Slime sealant already inside. Stopping comes from 602 hydraulic brakes with 180 mm rotors, 2.3 mm thick. The front fork has adjustable preload and a lockout, and the front end folds on a hinge below the stem.

Folds to 37 × 17 × 29 in

Folded it measures 37 L × 17 W × 29 H in; unfolded it is 66 L × 18.5 W × 47 H in. The pedals come off with quick-release splines and the seat post drops out for transport. It weighs 62 lb without the battery and about 71 lb with it, and arrives fully assembled: unfold it, fit the pedals and set the bars.

Five assist modes and a colour screen

Eco, Tour, Sport, Sport+ and Turbo are selected from a detachable, backlit 3.5 in TFT display with a USB-C port for a phone. A torque sensor sets assistance by how hard you pedal. The display and the potted controller are IP-X5 rated.

Questions buyers ask

How far does it go on a charge?

Up to 85 miles from the 840 Wh battery. The standard XP4 with a 500 Wh battery goes up to 50 miles. Higher assist, throttle use at 28 mph, hills, heavier loads and cold weather reduce range.

Is it a Class 2 bike or a Class 3 bike?

The five modes let it run as a Class 1, 2 or 3 e-bike where state law allows, with a top speed of 28 mph. With the throttle it is a Class 2 bike at 20 mph; 28 mph pedal assist is the Class 3 setting. Some states and many trail systems restrict Class 3 and throttle use, so check your local rules.

Can I actually get it into a car?

Folded it is 37 × 17 × 29 in, which fits a hatchback, an SUV or an RV bay. It weighs 62 lb without the battery, plus the 9 lb battery. Removing the battery, the quick-release pedals and the seat post makes it easier to lift.

Will it fit me?

It fits riders from 4'10" to 6'3", with a 24 in stand-over, 15–18 in of handlebar reach and a seat height range of 29.5–42 in. The stem telescopes as well as folding. There is one frame size; fit is set through the seat post and stem.

What is included, and what is extra?

In the box: the integrated rear rack, polypropylene fenders, front and rear lights, the TFT display, the battery and a 2 A charger. It arrives fully assembled. Sold separately: the LevelUp rack, a suspension seat post, the 5 A fast charger and child seats.

How long does it take to charge?

Seven to nine hours on the included 2 A charger, or about 3.5 hours on the optional 5 A fast charger. The battery comes out with a key for charging indoors, or you can charge it in the bike through the port near the bottom bracket.

Riding rules, delivery and returns

Where am I allowed to ride it?

Your state and city decide, by class. Class 1 assists only while you pedal, to 20 mph. Class 2 adds a throttle, also to 20 mph. Class 3 assists pedalling to 28 mph and is restricted or banned on bike paths in several states. Many trail systems allow Class 1 only. Check the rules where you ride before you raise the speed setting.
